Planning is as much for them as it is for you …
“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”
― Warren Buffett
Planning or lack thereof, not only will impact us, but our loved ones. We see this most often when it comes to having a Will. It’s commonly reported that only about 50% of Canadians have a written Will – although we cannot be certain of this, we see inadequate plans and Wills more often than not.
Good planning takes advantage of all the tools and strategies available and in most cased this means taxation. We all know that when we die (meaning die last) tax must be paid. We can do much to minimize this tax with good planning and investment and income strategies. Seeking good advice when planning and having the determination to put these plans in place is something you do for them.
